About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Industrial Sales Representative to drive sales growth and provide technical consulting services in Calgary and Southern Alberta. In this role, you will develop key client relationships, identify new market opportunities, and execute strategic sales plans aligned with D.A.D. Sales’ product portfolio.

You will collaborate closely with our Application & Product Solutions Team to deliver innovative solutions for our clients. This role requires in-depth industry expertise, adaptability, and the ability to offer client-specific technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Target Market Engagement: Focus on OEMs, Data Centers, Critical Power facilities, Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment sectors, and industrial clients (including oil and gas).

  • Sales Generation: Drive revenue through cold calling, client visits, and proactive relationship management.

  • Account Expansion: Develop and grow existing client accounts, promoting D.A.D. Sales’ manufacturing partners.

  • Proposal Development: Craft technical proposals that highlight product advantages and address client-specific needs.

  • Prospecting: Identify new clients, manage objections effectively, and build a robust client base.

  • Market Research: Stay updated on trends and technological advancements in electrical, industrial, and oil and gas sectors.

  • Technical Consulting: Provide clients and internal teams with specialized technical support as needed.

  • Client Support: Address client technical issues promptly, escalating where necessary.

  • Record Management: Maintain up-to-date records of client interactions, sales pipelines, and CRM data.

  • Order Management: Process purchase orders, invoices, and receipts accurately and efficiently.

  • Manufacturer Engagement: Participate in manufacturer training sessions and sales meetings.

  • Training & Education: Train clients and distributors on product applications and technical usage.

Key Competencies:

  • Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of electrical and industrial applications. Familiarity with local OEM’s and industrial contractors would be an asset.

  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and explain complex technical systems and solutions. This would include automation controls, circuit protection, hazardous location products, industrial support systems, ev charging solutions, UPS systems, and more.

  • Client Focus: Develop long-term relationships by addressing client-specific needs.

  • Problem Solving: Analyze client challenges and offer technically sound solutions.

  • Negotiation Skills: Achieve mutually beneficial agreements in competitive environments.

  • Time Management: Prioritize client engagements and manage schedules effectively.

  • Results-Oriented: Consistently meet or exceed sales goals through proactive strategies.

  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly with internal teams and external partners to meet client requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

  • Valid Passport (ability to travel internationally if necessary).

  • Proven experience in electrical or industrial sales, preferably within oil and gas applications.

  • Strong technical skills with the ability to learn and apply new technologies.

  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Effective time management with the ability to work independently.

Work Conditions:

  • Frequent client interactions across the electrical, industrial, and oil and gas sectors.

  • Occasional extended hours based on client needs.

·         Work-from-home setup with client site visits as needed.

  • Participation in virtual meetings (camera on required).

  • No manual labor or physical installation responsibilities.
